Multiple Database or Multiple Company in One Database

Dear all,

With NAV 2009 R2, which do you prefer multiple database or multiple company in one database? What is advantages & disadvantages of multiple database and multiple company in one database? Thank you.

    But, I must decide whether to choose mutiple database or multiple company in one database before buy the license.. Please advise..

    If you are looking at the same customizations (maybe a difference in reports) then multi company in same db.
    If you are looking at different customizations then multidb it is :)

    How about the permission setting, maintenance database, performance comparison, or other comparison of multiple database and multiple company in one database? :D

    Multiple companies in one DB shares the base tables like users, roles, permissions and others. You cannot backup/restore separate companies through SQL.
    If you use different databases, you can backup/restore each company separately, but you need to maintain permissions and other things in each database.

    This is basic difference, of course there is more...
