With NAV 2009 R2, which do you prefer multiple database or multiple company in one database? What is advantages & disadvantages of multiple database and multiple company in one database? Thank you.
If you are looking at the same customizations (maybe a difference in reports) then multi company in same db.
If you are looking at different customizations then multidb it is

How about the permission setting, maintenance database, performance comparison, or other comparison of multiple database and multiple company in one database?
Multiple companies in one DB shares the base tables like users, roles, permissions and others. You cannot backup/restore separate companies through SQL.
If you use different databases, you can backup/restore each company separately, but you need to maintain permissions and other things in each database.
This is basic difference, of course there is more...
