Hi,
Does anyone know if Navision 5 supports a Active/Passive clustered environment on a SQL 2008 R2 Server?

Yes and no.
You can connect to the active node, but when a failover happens NAV does not switch actively. Users need to reconnect.
There are some options:
1. Create a shared IP address/port that always connects to the active node, that way users won't have to connect to an anoter server.
2. Upgrade to NAV2009 Classic, this version autmatically reconnects to the server if there was a hickup in the connection.0 -
Thanks, this is what I was hoping for. Reconnect would not be a problem.0

I noticed that some hotfix (I have 30488) of 50SP1 also reconnects automatically.
I noticed it in this way:
I have a VM in which SQL server runs.
When I put my portable in standby, the 5.0SP1 loses connection, but NAV2009 doesn't. When I started to use that build, I didn't have the problem anymore.Regards,Alain Krikilion
