Not sure how to do this, maybe you can help. When someone clicks on Financial Management, I want nothing to happen. What role do I have to create to make this work. We're on NAV2009 Classic.

Thanks for your help

So you want to click on a menu and let nothing happen.
I think it's better to hide the menu alltogether. To do this, edit the navigation pane, rightclick on financial management and select the users who may and may not see this.

This is a good first step in permissions. If you don't want someone viewing the G/L, for example, you'll have to take it a lot farther. They could still Navigate on a posted invoice, show the G/L Entries, and remove the filters to see everything. You'll have to setup actual role based security for that and it takes a long time.

Thanks for the info folks. I have removed the tab from the menu for specific users. Easiest way to do it.
