Error while Backup(navision backup *.fbk) retore

Hello people,

I have a backup that was generated on \ stored on FTP. The backup is from Navision (*.fbk) and the size of the *.fbk file is 14 GB which has been parted into 7 (1.99 GB ) *.fbk units.

Now when i select the backup file, the first one among the series of 7 units, the system throws this error,
"You cannot use this file "XYZ01.fbk" because it is already in use"

Now this is very weird as the backup is completed and there are no sessions on the DB either for this error to occur. All the *.fbk files are put into a single folder.

Can someone provide me clue on what could be wrong in this case ?

Thanks

Looks like something is still blocking the file.
To confirm it, try to rename it.

To find out what is blocking it, search for processexplorer from sysinternals to see which process is blocking the file(s).

    Hi,

If it is still stored in an FTP folder, try copying it to a local folder first and restore it from that.
I have encountered this before. The copy should release the lock on the file.

    Hope this helps,
