How to setup capacity for a month

Hi All,
I will be very appreciated for your answer or discussion;
request as below:
If our Production team want to setup capacity, I guess it is not work center of machine center setup; for example, production team will produce 1000 Item A in Sep. 2011, and 1200 Item B in Oct.; how can we setup in NAV 2009, Does NAV has this function? Can this kind of capacity data be triggerred in MRP or MPS?
