Has anyone tried to create a P&L to show % of each cost account against the specific, related revenue account? For instance, if the cost account is "Handling" expense, can you calculate the % of this amount against "Handling" revenue (not Total Revenue)?

In other words, multiple Set Base % instructions for each, individual revenue account would be in the P&L setup, but how can the Column Layout formula identify the Row # to use to create the percentage.

Is this possible?

    We have thought about this, but never tried it. We're battling with our own percentage issue in account schedules. Perhaps you have a solution. If we want to show a percentage in a column, we can't come up with the formula that will correctly show a percentage on prior year for both debits and credits. i.e., if the revenue accounts are credits, we reverse the sign, and divide current year by prior year. But that same formula in the COGS area shows a negative percentage, even if there was an increase in the percentage. Is there a way to create a formula that would work for both debit and credit balances?
