In Advance Management License Subcontracting is not working

Hi All,

Our customer is using Navision Version : Nav 4.0 SP3

We are facing a bug in License.
Our customer has Advanced Management License, but when a Subcontracting Order is to be created from Subcontracting Worksheet, a message appears as "You do not have permission to insert into Sub Order Component List Table". Please refer the file attached.

Please advice this is a bug in the license or whether subcontracting does not work in AM license and we have to buy granule or something like that.

Awaiting for valuable advice and suggestion.
Thanks & Regards
Santosh

The error message you get doesn't come from standard NAV. I know you have a localization in India for subcontracting so you also must have this granule in your licens for it to work. AM license isn't enough.

The only additional granule you can buy for Manufacturing solution is

    Agile Manufacturing
    5430 Version Management
    5805 Agile Manufacturing

    Supply Planning
    5810 Basic Supply Planning
    5820 Demand Forecasting

    Capacity Planning
    6020 Machine Centers
    6030 Finite Loading

and rest of the granules is already available in AM license.

Things to note here is Sub Contracting is Indian localization which is made avaibale by microsoft and it doesnt work with Basic AM license. You need to contact Microsoft Voice to see whether you will have to buy any granules.

Thanks a lot for the information!!!!

But it seems ridiculous from Microsoft part that in basic AM license Subcontracting Worksheet and Subcontracting Order can be read, modified and deleted but you have to buy granule 16330 Advanced Production Subcontracting as Microsoft advises us to.

And based on this granule only the whole Subcontracting Module work in Navision!!!!!

You should be able to use subcontracting without buying this granule. To use NAV standard subcontracting function you don't need to buy this granule, but you are trying to use your indian localization and therefore you need to but the granule. Take a look at standard subcontracting i NAV maybe that is enough for your needs.
