Credit Claim for Excise against RG 23 D ??

Ques:Can anyone explain me how to Credit Claim(means what steps are required for credit claim) for MODVAT/CENVAT for trading organisation.My problem is RG 23 D not showing any payable or receivable amount coming after sales & purchase adjustment.Is RG 23 D will show adjusted value?
