how to maintain dimention value of item in RPO

hello everybody
I am using NAV2009R2. when we made Realese Production Order of Item x which Raw Material is item A (maintained in BOM). item x dim. = assy item A dim. = raw. now when we made consumption journal then system select the dim. in Item A = assy.
so how can carry the dim. of item A in item A.
