Warehouse Pick - Bin Type Code

Hi,
I have a location with which I do not want to use 'Directed Put/Pick' because there should be no 'Receive' operation - just using Inventory Put-Aways. But on the sales side I want to use Warehouse Shipments and Picks. Since I am not using Directed Put/Pick, the 'Bin Type Code' is not allowed to be used when setting up bins. My question is - if I can't specify 'Bin Type Code' on the bins, how do I prevent the system suggesting to pick from bins which it shouldn't do - such as despatch area bins?
