RTC Control AddIn "Browser"
OK! Maybe it's not as robust as JET Reports, but much cheaper!
The NAVQueryBuilder allows you to export information to Excel or Text files almost eliminating the need for new report or dataport objects. I said almost, it is limited.
But you can start with a source table and set other table relations for record look-ups and aggregate functions.
It includes a SmartKey feature to help with performance since users may not fully grasp the key/index subject.
Could be easily modified to run as a scheduled job if needed. Everyone wants reports to come to them.
You can export/import the query definitions so reports can be easily shared, although NAV databases are like fingerprints and snowflakes, right?
Make reports Private so other users don't mistakenly screw up your hard work. However they may copy your report and modify their own.
Have fun with it!!
Hope some of you find it handy.
Feedback is always welcome
