Security Filters on G/L Accounts

Hello,

Client = 3.70 and currently trying to apply security filters to block G/L accounts so users can only view certain accounts, I was told that there was issues with this working correclty and can not find anything in the manuals that would tell me the 'correct' way to do this..

Does anyone have any information or can point me in the direction of where i can find something -i've tried partnersource and CD manuals.](*,)

    As far as I know, the Security Filter feature in NAV is not fully completed. When you use security filter, system will stop you from inserting / modifying the records. and this feature will work fine if the user role is read only.

    Thanks - I take it you dont know of any 'official' documentation then ...?

    I remember, a year back, we were looking for a similiar feature... I raised a incident in partnersource and they said that the provision is made in the product for this feature... if required then partners has to customize for it as required. Then we developed as per the requirements.
