Who can tell me if is possible to install the Navision client 4.0 sp2 on a windows server 2008 std 64bits, with miscrosoft sql 2008 ?

We've installed the client on the server but we've a error message when we try to connect to the database.

You'll need NAV 4.0 SP3 (with Platform Update) to make it run on Windows 2008. But if you need to do a technical upgrade because of the different NAV version, you can as well use the latest release: NAV 2009 R2.

We already try to upgrade to 5.1 the client but we had to go back because we had hanging problems.

Do you know where these problems can come from?

You are not giving any details. "Hanging issues" "Speed Issues"? tell nothing, zero, ziltch, nada.

Speed Issues where? Running Reports, posting, Opening Forms.
You have no info on your sever and how it's setup?
YOu have no info on your network..how are people connecting?
    How many people are connecting?
Size of database, # of drives? Highly customized database or clean?

plus a dozen or more questions. So before getting frustrated on not getting an answer..read the questions you post. Also, the SQL forum has tons of posts regarding speed - so search should be your first move.
