NAS system requirements

Hi,
I have read the manual w1w1atas.pdf (Installation & System Management:Application Server for Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV) to install NAS on my machine.

The manual suggests the system requirement for NAS as -
Make sure that Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista is installed on the computer on which you will be running NAV Application Server. If this is not the case, you must install the correct operating system before installing NAV Application Server. The
computer must have at least 64 MB RAM.

I am using Windows XP and hence able to install NAS but i wonder whether NAS can be installed on Server OS since the manual says that the OS should be either Windows XP or Vista.

Where can i find the correct system requirement for installing NAS?
Secondly, can NAS and NAV client be installed on two different machines?

Yes, NAS can be installed on Windows Server. I did it already on 2000, 2003 and 2008.
Yes, it is possible to install just the NAS on one machine and install the NAV client on a different machine. This might be also useful http://www.mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=48204.
