Job Task Dimensions Default

I assigned default job task dimensions but when I enter a job G/L journal it doesn't seem to populate the line with the default task dimensions. I found an old post (2005 with a 2007 reply) which mentions the same problem but no one every responded with an answer. Does anyone know if this is a bug? Or was it not really meant to be setup to be able to use the dim. functionality like the rest of NAV?
