My client has a mix of workstation operating systems connecting to the same server running Attain 3.60.
If they open the DB with the NT workstation client then the main menu is almost instant. If they open it with XP Pro SP2, then the main menu takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Has anyone had similar experiences or know of any issues that might explain this ????????

We got the same problem. The w2k and XP machines got this problem. But if a user doesn't logout of Navision then the main menu is almost instant there the next day

sounds like your problems is a little different to mine... yours can be solved by reducing the DBMS cache. :P
Mine does not care what time of day or how many users are logged into the system, it will still take longer on an XP operating system. :x
