nav 4.0 cannot read sql instance

Hello to all!!
I have a problem with one client trying to connect to sql database.When i put the name of the database and the instance of sql there is an error the server navision\navdb cannot be found. In the same company the other users are connecting without any problems. I ping the server and it looks ok. Also i would like to mention that this user it was ok without any problems and one day this came up without any changes being made.Do you have any ideas why this is happening?
