Outlook synchronization

HDGHDG Member Posts: 3
HI,

I am configuring Outlook Integration using Web Services.
SQL Server and NAV Server/NAV Web Service are all installed on same machine (SERVER)
Is it absolutely necessary that MS Office outlook is also installed on the server?
Because I am getting error like
"Unable to create an instance of Automations Server {8FC8A753-24F6-495F ..."

Can anyone please help me on this?
THX

The error says Synchronization for huseyin.dulger is not setup in microsoft dynamics nav.

Is Huseyin.dulger a user in NAV.

huseyin.dulger is indeed a user in Dynamics NAV and synchronization is setup for this user.
But at the beginning of the error message it says: "... Unable to create an instance of Automation Server ..."
I think this is because outlook is not installed on the server.
    Does this make sence?
Is it absolutely necessary to have outlook installed on the server?
In our case we cannot install outlook on the server.

AFAIK you do not need to install Outlook on the server.
But what you need is to install the NAV Outlook Synch. on the machine where the NST runs.
Or just register the relevant dlls there.
