    Hi,

If hotcopy has never worked, ensure the account the service runs under, has permission to write to the destination folder.

We’ve also “fixed” the problem by stop/starting the navision service.

I ran a min Database test last night and it didn't report anything unusual, I'm running another test now that checks more stuff.

Hotcopy has never worked. I checked the service account that navision runs under does have the proper permissions. I've also tried stopping/starting the service with no luck and the same error message.

Thanks for the help guys have any other ideas?

How about trying on the same server - but with the standard database.fdb and copying it to a new directory for instance D:\DEMOBACK ?? Have You tried this?
