Metadata for object of Table 2000000073 in failed state

Good afternoon,
We recently encountered a problem in our NAV2009R2 RTC showing the message:
"Metadata for object of type Table with ID 2000000073 is in a failed state. This is caused by a previous exception: The definition of the Object Metadata Table has changed. Start your activity again"
After this message I had to close the RTC. When I wanted to log in a second time, it showed the same message.
Now, the only thing that really changed was a report object, imo this has nothing to do with the table 2000000073 - "User Personalization", I also don't see why anyone would change the definition of this table. The last modified date of this table was 11/12/10, so this can't be the problem.
After recompiling all objects of the database, and after restarting the service, we were able to log back in.
Has anyone encountered this problem, do you know why this error message is shown and perhaps a faster way of solving it?
Thanks in advance!

[UPDATE]
For NAV2009SP1, Microsoft has published a hotfix for this problem, which also should be implemented in the release of NAV2009R2:

However, we are working in NAV2009R2 and we are still getting this message ...0 -
I have seen this error several times in R2 as well. A re-compile usually solves the problem.
One of many strange errors "issues" with the RTC...Regards

Just a formal check:
Are you doing any modification from Server system only or from some other system also.
If from another system, is the date format same in both systems..
set the date format same in all systems and try0 -
I am doing an update from my local pc and the database is located an a server.
Do you mean compare the date formats in Windows between my pc and the server?0 -

Hi,
I have checked the date format on my pc and the date format on the server, these are the same...
Any other suggestions?

Modification in the report does not cause this kind of problem.Regards,

I would also find it very strange if a modification in a report could cause this kind of problem, but do you have any other ideas what could cause this problem ?0
