Amount with Decimal Places, show only 2 decimal places but to enter up to 5 decimal places

The user wants to see the amount with only 2 decimal places, but he will be able to enter up to 5 decimal places.

How do I have to configure the field in the table and in the form ?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks, but the user sees still more than 2 decimal places
(I tried it in the subform of the purchase order with the fields "Unit Cost (LCY)" and "Direct Unit Cost")

If you configure in Excel a cell with 2 decimal places, you can enter more than 2 decimal places
but Excel shows only 2 decimal places.
(You enter 2.10583 and the user should see 2.11)

AutoFormatType property may be dominant in your case. (1,2 - unit price and amount precision values in setup) If you want to supress this property by decimalplace then change decimalplaces property or remove autoformattype value in these fields or adjust related values in G/L Setup.
