Formatting MICR font in Visual Studio

I'm trying to add a MICR line to print on a check in the RTC, I am able to get this working when using the Classic client, but when I tried to add this field in the VS Layout, it is not showing up when I print. I had added other text fields to the footer which are printing okay, so I think I may need to apply some kind of format to the font, but I'm new to RTC report design so I was hoping someone may have a suggestion for me? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
