Long text in BLOB field - incorrect characters

I've some data (long text) in BLOB field in table.
When I exported this text to txt file and then opened
this file i had some characters like � ďż˝ instead of correct
characters. I think I've tried every encoding posibilities using
few text editors and no result.
Anyone can help me ?
Anyone has some code sample solving similar problem ?
I would be gratefull for any help...
