Dataport ignores field separator

foersterfoerster Member Posts: 11
Hi there,

I'm new with Navision and trying to import a chart of accounts from a .csv file (saved in the MS-DOS mode). But Navision doesn't recognise the ";" as a field separator and tries to write the complete recordset into the first field. Could anybody give me a hint what's wrong with my dataport oder .csv file? Thanx already!!

Have you entered the ';' in the dataport property?
Open the dataport in design mode, place the cursor in the empty line below the DataItem and get the properties.
Enter the semicolon in the FieldSeperator, without the brackets.

    Hi Stefan,

thank you very much!! I didn't think of writing ";" instead of "<;>".

The < > around properties, means that it is the default value of the property for that particualr control.

When you export your object, these properties with default values will not be exported.
