NAV 2009 Classic

Hi,

I have installed nav 2009 and I using sql server 2008.

I want to create new instance but I want to use it in classic server, not three tier.

I know how configure more instance in role tailored client but i can't get new instance in classic server (classic client)

In version 4.0, 5.0 You can create new instance and choose port which You assigned in network and host file in \etc folder.
and then you can have more database on difference ports.
How do that in classic 2009 ?

I don't want to install new instance in SQL server ??

Correction:
Above I'm talking about SQL server, but in fact I meant at native database not sql, sorry.

Any suggest ?

You just need to create a new database and open it from the Classic Client.

You are mixing more things together:

    1) the changes about the service file is about Native DB Server...
    2) You are talking about SQL - you do not need to create any new instance or something, just learn something about SQL, you d not understand basic things...
    3) There is nothing as "new instance" for classic. It is two tier - DB and Client, nothing more...
