What you're talking about has nothing to do with the version of Navision you're using.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

ok thx for the reply but could u then confirm that Db Mirroring with Navision is an Option..0

We have a client that's been using database mirroring (high availability mode) for 4 years or so. Works just fine. That's not to say it's the only or best option. You have to evaluate your needs and choose the best option(s) for you. There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0

Any software with any fail over plan is an option. This is not a Navision specific question.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Well I was told that Navision Could not work in mirroring couse of timestamp issues, well at least that what our local Navision support told me.. log shipping was something they recomended.0

Mirroring does not rely on timestamps. Possibly they are confusing it with transaction replication? I can tell you mirroring works just fine.
Log Shipping is also another valid solutions. Both these have pros and cons. You need to review your situation and pick what's appropriate. Sometimes that's to do both. There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0 -
mirroring is failover. log shipping is for DB restore. You and your local NAV support person are talking about different things.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

I'd disagree with that. Mirroring and Log Shipping are both for fail-over. One's just more automated than the other. There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0
