ML-enabling tools NOT running on x64

Every once in a while I do use those olden days ML-enabling tools like conv-ml and findfunc. Apparently it has been some time ago that I used them as today I did get this message
---------------------------
Unsupported 16-Bit Application
---------------------------
The program or feature "\...\make-ml2.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.
---------------------------
Ouch, I have Win7 64-bits, so apparently these tools do not work anymore on my machine.

Any of you came across this already? Any tips on how to still use them? VPC? Others?

As indicated in the error message, they are 16bit applications. It means "really" old... :-) Only solution for you is VPC (or XP Mode).

    Try this: http://www.dosbox.com/
I am using it very successfully on Windows 2008 64bit (I even virtualized it with THINAPP and it works fine).
