Trigger onopenpage not called

Standard situation: (is under local BE) page 11300
Financial journals under departments/Financial management.
Once pressed it either opens the only financial journal (template&batch), or the user has to select the financial template.
After that the onopenpage trigger runs which updates the balance last statement.
Problem:
[Not Important]
When adding the same page on a rolecenter under homeitems: the balance last statement and Statement ending balance are uneditable. (Normal because the user should open a seperate page for data modification), so another soluction was necessary.

Next try:
Replaced the journal with "Gen. Journal Batches" 254.
The user clicks on this link, chooses journal template, next the batch and selects modify journal.
Codeunit GenJnlManagement runs the page yet, the onopenpage trigger is not called. Thus not refreshing the balance last statement.
Has someone noticed similar behavior?
