Hi,
I have one of my client using NAV 2009 NA SP1 to whom we have provided our add-on solution. The add-on is integrated and running well in their test environment. Our client is about to go live but before that they have asked us to provide a Disaster Recovery Plan.
I am not sure how to prepare a document on Disaster Recovery Plan as i have never done before, what it should include, what needs to be addressed, what care needs to be taken, how to recover from a disaster etc.
Does anyone have any idea on this or throw some light in preparing this document?
Is there any manual from Microsoft which i can refer to?
Please help.
Regards,
Hemant

I also guess what they mean by disaster...
Does it mean the building burnt down.
Does it mean the server crashed.
Does it mean when Zombies rule the world!
Etc.
Etc.
What we do..& I never thought of it as a plan, but some common sence is..
We have a live server and a secondary server setup the same.
We make backups everynight.
A copy is zipped & stored offsite on an FTP site automatically using Winzip11 & scheduler.
If something was to happen with the live server I can have the backup loaded on the second server within a few hours to get running again.
Whatever was lost between the time of the backip till the crash will have to be redone.
But that's just how it is.
