We are looking at integration with a CRM system hosted "in the cloud". We are looking at Sales Force and SugarCRM (yes Microsoft CRM but it is not a forerunner) which are hosted in the cloud.
These systems generally integrate (Cloud to ERP direction) with ERP systems via a web service call. They will send a soap message either to NAV Service Tier or 3rd Party Integrator. These systems will not allow a VPN connection securely into our network so we think the only solution is to stick our NAV Serive Tier (or 3rd Party product) in the DMZ outside our firewall. Has anyone done this or have a different solution?

We have SugarCRM & Dynamics NAV Data Integration Solution. It's called SUGANAV Connector and uses Dynamics NAV Web Services to share data with SugarCRM.
Your CRM can be hosted in the cloud, customer On-site or partner hosted. To learn more visit our website http://www.optimuscrm.com
