You just need to change some registry keys to do this.

Add the following keys and values in the registry:

Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\winword.exe]
Value name : (Default)
Value data: C:\Program Files\Open Office\program\swriter.exe (use the correct path!)

Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\excel.exe]
Value name : (Default)
Value data: C:\Program Files\Open Office\program\scalc.exe (use the correct path!)

After this you can use the "Send to Excel/Send to Word" and NAV will send it to Open Office.

Thanks to Simone Fortina who send me this trick to publish.

Thank you for the tip!

I wonder if the change of keys involves also style sheets...I mean: in this way there's no need to insert a new application in "Send-to Programs" table and create new style sheets, right?
