Sales Tax Settlement

I am familiar with VAT Settlement. In the US, do I run this same menu option when we pay sales tax? I want to mark the tax register entries as paid.

Also, on Customer Source, I don't find any document that explains sales tax setup for the US. Is this included in a different document? I only see VAT and Intrastat.
