Document is changing on GL Entry after posting.

Hi All,
I am havinga problem which is :
i am using standard journal to copy lines to GL entry, when i copy the line, i get a document number, however when i post i get another document number, in this batch i have specified the No series and the POsting number series is kept empty.
any body can help on this?
