With the RTC you can insert dates with that little calendar.
I was wondering if the same functionality could be recreated in code?

And I would be grateful if someone could tell my why a flowfilter-field cannot contain a filter when it is a field on a page.

I don't think so, but you can probably create a control add-in.

Weird, we can do it in classic. :-k Did you try with 2009 R2? Maybe it has been corrected.

but why do you need to do these things? Isn't there a way around? They don't seem critical requests.

Ah, because the VAT statement preview has a date flowfilterfield on the page/form, to filter the amounts on the statement lines. To my amazement, it didn't work on the vat statement preview page. (which appeared to be edited by someone)
I know I have to filter trough the lightning of the lines, filter, limit totals and then fill in the date filter. But the mere fact that a datefilter field can't contain a filter but only a single date (in this case) is quite odd.
