How to print a txt file directly

FranklinFranklin Member Posts: 253
Hi everybody,

I have a little trouble...

I have created a process that will create a txt file in the hard disk. I want to print this txt file directly to a printer without the user having to search for the file and print.

I have seen the possibility of using Microsoft Word but the library is very complicated. Is there any way to tell NAV to print the file directly to your default printer or at least print and the user indicates only the printer?

Thx for the help!!!

The only "simple" solution I can think of is to use the print function of Windows, like described in the link above.
Browse to any txt file, right click on it and choose 'Print'. Windows will open the associated (to that file extension) application and execute its standard printing routine. If that doesn't fit for you then you might have to choose a more "complicated" way.
