Field in a table of type BLOB- Error

Hi all,

I added a new field 'Specifications' in Item Table & the field is of data type 'BLOB' as the field will contain more than 250 characters.

Its not allowing me to type anything in the 'Specifications' textbox on Item Card. It's said its "'xxxxxx' is not an option" and also I want to display the field with its value on a report too..

Can anybody provide me with a solution?

Are you sure blob is the type you're looking for?

You simply can't make it your sourceexp of a text box and type into it.

Thanks for ur reply.

But am looking for smething which can hold more than 250 characters as my field can exceed the 250 characters.

There's not the data type 'BigText' for table creation, thats why i thought of using BLOB which is not a good idea..

Suggestions are most welcomed..
