Any material kit issue concept in NAV 2009SP1

Hi All,

For a simple production cycle, we have
1. Production order creation
2. Raw material issue to production line
3. Report consumption
4. Report output

But in NAV, there is no function (doc) like raw material issue (or we call it material kit issue). It seems that system directly goto consumption stage (Consumption journal).

Many clients ask how can I know the WIP qty and WIP value for each production order, is there any standard report serve as this purpose? How can I cross-check the sub-ledger WIP with GL WIP?

May I have your advice and your implementation experience on this area?

    You can check the report Inventory Valuation - WIP .

    This report only show the value, how about QTY?
    Besides, is it make sense that WIP (on material) won't decrease after output is post or even production order is finished?

    You have to look in the item card - field " Qty on Component Lines" ( Just filter on the released Status only).
