Number of Records loaded on an RTC List Page

I'm running NAV2009 R2 RTC, and I have a general question on List Page.
Let's say that my G/L Register has 10,000,000 record entries (just an example).
Then when I open the G/L Register page (without any filters), does NAV try to load all the 10,000,000 records at once? Or is there a limit in the number of data that NAV can display (say 1,000).
Please let me know.

File -> Database -> Alter -> Advanced -> Record Set
or something like that
if the value is 500 then NAV caches 500 records
