To display t records of same table by col.wise using arrays

Dear experts,

Purchase comparison Header table has been created with the following fields:-
Field Caption Data Type
Document Type Document Type Option
Purchase Requisition No. Purchase Requisition No. Code20
Status Status Option

Purchase comparison line table has been created with the following fields:-

Field Caption Data Type
Quote No. Quote No. Code20
Document Type Document Type Option
Purchase Requisition No. Purchase Requisition No. Code20
Type Type Option
No. No. Code20
Description Description Text50
Vendor No. Vendor No. Code20

etc..

I need to create a report, which runs with the filter of "purchase comparison no." from header table. This report should show the values depends upon the type. The no. of items should be shown corresponding to the no. of vendors the items have been sold from "Purchase Comparison line" table as an array format with the limit upto 7. Kindly help me. #-o
