Best Practice Desgning Webservices?

Hi there,
I just want to know how You are disigning and publishing webservices from NAV. Do You take the standard-pages like 21 customers and publish those or do You make a copy of them (e. g. 50021 customercopy) or are You designing pages especially for the webservices?
What I see is that using the standard-pages could cause problems later if s.o. is changing them without thinking about the effects on the webservices.
What do You think?

create custom pages (copies of existing ones) and add/remove fields just needed for webservice.0
