Enter 'P1..P12' for a date filte in C/AL

Does any one know of a simple way to do in C/AL code to have the same effect as entering 'P1..P12' for a date filter i.e. to expand to first and last date in fin year? EVALUATE (Var, 'P1..P12') will not work.
