page hides behind main page when report is printed

I am having trouble when printing from a certain page with R2. The page in question is a card view, with sub-lines (like an order), which pops out into its own window (seperate from the main menu window). When we print a certain report from it, the window moves behind the main menu window. A few observations about this behavior:
- It only happens when the page calling the report is maximised
- It only happens once for each time the page is opened. Once we get the page to the front again, the report does not cause this.
- It only happens when printing to a real printer. Printing to a virtual printer, like a pdf or xps printer, does not cause it.

I'm not sure if it is relevant, but the report works from a virtual table. The form generates the data in a virtual table, and then passes it, record by record, into the report.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
