Nav 2009 R2 RTC login window

From what i've heard it should now be possible to get a login window where you type a username and password before connecting to nav.
I've seen demos where they do it on app-v but if you don't use app-v, how do you do?

I want to allow users to login to an SPLA environment using login/password, since they are not within the same domain as the nav servers it doesn't work to login automatically.

Does anyone have any experience in this field?

You need to set ClientCredentialType to UserName on the service tier.
