I have a problem....I was uninstall navision 3.60, and after that I was started setup again on ms windows 2003 server. The setup was rolled back and that's all. I don't know the reason for that situation, because everything worked fine.
I was looked in EventViewer(which is also was out of order - fixed with "regsvr32 E:\Windows\system32\msxml3.dll") and this is what I was found there (MsiInstaler):

Product: Microsoft Navision Attain 3.60 -- Installation operation failed.

    Hi,

    How did you fix your problem. I'm having the same problem as you. Every time I try a Navision 3.7.0B install on a W2K3 server , I get a rollback action and the wizard is not installing. Could it be that you can have only certain number of Navsion servers?

    Through install you can install only one instance of server. Other instances must be done through copy of the folder where the server is installed...

    See Administration documentation....

    It's problem that has been discussed before -
    Terminal server functionality is blocking the setup - Navision must be installed before activating terminal server fn.

    thank you, I uninstalled Terminal Services and installed navision and it installed smoothly.

    I have this problem trying to migrate from a Windows 2000 environment to a w2k3 environment.

    We have a HP Proliant servers with W2k03 Operating System. I installed Navsion and SQL Server 2000 and restored navision from the previous days back up, everything looked good except everytime I post a transaction it goes into freezing mode.

    R there any known issues with Navision(version 3.0.1B)-W2k03-SAN environment?

    Any help will be great!

    Hi guys!!!
    I met the same problem in the Navision 4 installation to Windows 2003 Enterprise Server. I think the machine went wrong, ouch!!! :evil:
    It said 'Finished' without process! I thought there's something crazy with machine haha.. :mrgreen:
    Therefore I format the system drive and reinstall Windows 2003, I didn't notice existing Terminal Service installation (before format them), and this now I don't install any terminal services and it ran in the very smooth way.. Thanks this built my knowledge based too. 8)

    Hi All,

    After reading your threads, i noticed a similar situation that i was facing when installing navision client onto windows 2003 server standard edition. Bbefore the installaiton could complete i get this 'error 1935', a microsoft bug that revolves around MUI. I followed the Help and Support, to delete the MUI folder and re-install again, but still i get the same error and unable to proceed in completing the installation. Does anyone else have experience this sort of scenario. Appreciate any thoughts and advise on this situation.

    Kind Regds.

    Hi All,

    We have had the same issue when installing Navision 3.60 onto 3 Citrix Servers. We found the problem was related to an old dll file and is a known issue - with a fix =D>

    This is a link to the MS Knowledge base;

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816598

    There's also a post on back in 2003 on this forum that gives explanations and (more importantly) resolutions;

    Hope this is of use to somebody.
