Setfilter using Wild Char

I have following data in a table

Field1

AB001
BC001
CD001
DE001
EF001
FG001
GE001
........

How I set setfilter by using wild char to get following results

Field1

EF001
FG001
GE001
........

i.e. <>a* <>b* and <>c*

some examples:
exclude all records wich include a-d: <>@*a* & <>@*b* & <>@*c* & <>@*d*
exclude all records wich start with a-d: <>@a* & <>@b* & <>@c* & <>@d*
include all recors wich include f or g: @*f* | @*g*

is the way to go, assuming that all the values contains the same number of characters
