I am trying to replicate records from one server to another server using a speed of 128kbps. I want to know a few things

1. What is the packet size when data flows from one server to another
2. What is the data type - digital or some other type
3. Is this packet size controlled by Application or Protocol
4. How can I check how much amount of data is getting transferred so that it does not choke my connection

It Depends on what type of replication you are doing. I am assuming you are using SQL Server 2000. Here is a good primer on SQL Replication:
