Extending the Search functionality

Would it be possible to add an option on the Search screen to also search the download section and/or blogs as well?

The description of most downloads appear already in the Download section forum, and are therefore searcheable through the forum search engine. A separate search for all downloads exists on the main site: http://www.mibuso.com/searchdl.asp .
The mibuso.com blogs are stored in a separate Wordpress database. I'll have to look around for a site wide search plugin, which could be added.

Ideally, all searches should be combined into one. But as the data is stored in different ways in different databases, that's going to be though to develop.
