"Data Migration" menu option does not exist

Hello, I'm attempting to use the data migration tool for the first time, but it doesn't appear to be in my database.

I think I've figured out part of the problem... the old database (which I want to move data from) appears to be 4.0 with 2009 (6.0) executables. The new database is 6.0/6.0

So my question is this: is there a way to get the data migration tools into the old database easily? I'm a mid-level developer at best.

Probable you mean Data Migration and Setup Master Template menu Item. In NAV 2009 you can find in Administration – Application Setup – Company Setup folder. The document “Dynamic NAV RIM User Guide 2.0” about RIM and describe this functionality is included into DVD and can be found in this DVD folder \Documentation\PFiles\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Documentation\Application Guides\en-US
