Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install nav 2009 in a three tier architecture following this solution :
NAVSQL = W2K8 Domain Controller + SQL Server (192.168.1.1)
NAVSERVER = NAV Server Components (192.168.1.2)
NAVCLIENT = Windows 7 with RoleTailoredClient (192.168.1.3)
When i launch "Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client" from NAVCLIENT, i get this message :
"The login failed when connecting to SQL Server NAVSQL\my_instance_name"
Times before, I fixed one problem with enabling the object change listener, the error was : "Cannot connect the Change Listener to SQL Server".
Does anyone have an idea ?
Thanks
Angelita

SP1
I created this instance instead of the default instance name when i installed SQL SERVER
How can i change the way to connect ? directly from sql ? from the roletailored client ?
Directly from SQL..
And what is the value in "DatabaseInstance" of Custom Settings file..
If "DatabaseInstance" has some value...change it to blank and try
<add key="DatabaseInstance" value=""></add>

Otherwise I think you can give explicit permissions in SQL Server to the computer running the NAV Server to get around the issue, but I can't remember for sure.
i always have problem when creating SPN
--> Insufficient access rights to perform the operation.
what should i do??
