    Check, that every developer touching the objects is using same build of the client.

    The NAV 2009 RTC and NST are sensible to different versions of clients used. Try to keep all used clients on same build. It means, everyone, connecting to the DB, should use same build of the client used to connect. E.g. when you have NST of version 6.0.28814, check that everyone connecting is using same version of the client 9classic and RTC)

    I had the same error at one of my customers yesterday.

    The only solution that worked was re-installing the service tier.

    I realise this is a old thread, but I would like to contribute:
    Restarting the service does is not enough if you have multiple services running the same executable (for example nav server service and web service).

    You have to do following:
    * recompile all recently imported objects (and, I always recompile table 2000000071 object metadata, even though it might not be needed)
    * shut down all dynamics nav services (Nav server service and web service)
    * start services again
    * test

    If this does not help, download updates from MS, and do a technical update.
    Path for NAV 2009 SP1/R2 client updates:
